Richard A. Posner said, "Some people prefer to get their knowledge of human nature from novels, but it doesen't follow that novels are a superior source of such knowledge to life and to the various genres of nonfiction." I believe that we can gain an insight into "human nature from novels." Posner also said we discover our real selves through literature. What did your Grandparents really have to say about you?
If you were reading aloud a grandparents or parents journal years down the road, and you came across a something that could be potentially harmful to the people who were listening, would you censor it or read it? Is changing the text to fit the audience ethical?
